The Landmark is a proposed indoor commercial retail condominium shopping centre, which would be the largest in the Greater Toronto Area.  Located on the south side of Steeles Avenue, between Middlefield Road and Markham Road, the 16.7 hectare (41.3 acre) site is proposed to be developed with a 473,600 square foot retail centre and a 175,000 square foot general industrial building.

Bousfields was retained by the owners to prepare development applications, including an Official Plan Amendment, rezoning and draft plan of subdivision, together with a supporting planning justification report.

City staff are currently processing the applications and have initiated a comprehensive review of the lands on the south side of Steeles Avenue, between Middlefield Road and Morningside Creek.  The applications were appealed to the Ontario Municipal Board and are scheduled to be heard in October 2006.
