Laurie McPherson
MCIP, RPP

Laurie McPherson, a partner with Bousfields Inc., has considerable public and private sector experience.  Prior to joining Bousfields, Ms. McPherson was Director of the former City of Etobicoke’s Policy and Research Division, directing various land use studies and policy reviews.

Ms. McPherson’s expertise is focused in the areas of land use planning and policy development, development approvals and public consultation processes.  In addition to working on various urban redevelopment projects within the Greater Toronto Area, she has been responsible for a number of public consultation projects including a stakeholders’ visioning session for the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital/Humber College lands in Etobicoke, as well as for a series of public/stakeholder sessions for the Development Permit Demonstration Project and the Provincial Policy Statement Five-Year Review for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

She has also has extensive experience in preparing Secondary Plans and directing multi-disciplinary consulting teams, focusing on the issues across a number of disciplines and integrating consultation into the decision making process.
