Louis Tinker

Louis graduated in 1998 from the School of Urban and Regional Planning at Sheffield Hallam University, UK and joined Bousfields at the beginning of 2011.

Prior to joining Bousfields, he was a Planner with the City of Toronto for five years and was responsible for reviewing and providing planning opinions on a range of development applications, including Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, Site Plan Applications, Plans of Condominium, Minor Variance and Consent applications.

Louis brings international planning experience, having worked on a number of urban renewal projects for the City of Manchester, UK and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) funded projects in Central and Eastern Europe in the field of municipal strategic planning and capacity building.

During his time at the City of Toronto’s Public Consultation Unit, he was responsible for the design and execution of a range of stakeholder consultation events such as Public Open Houses, Design Workshops and Working Groups associated with development approvals, policy initiatives and environmental assessments.

Louis has appeared as an expert witness at the Ontario Municipal Board.  He is currently a Provisional Member of OPPI and is working towards full membership.
